ELECTRONICS INSTRUMENTATION PROJECTS ABSTRACT-SMART CLOTH(WEARABLE DEVICE FOR BODY AREA NETWORK)

Smart clothes and associated -wearable devices for biomedical ambulatory monitoring

Summary: Health smart clothes which are in contact with almost all the surface of the skin offer large possibilities for the location of sensors for noninvasive measurements. Head band, collar, tee-shirt, socks, shoes, belts for chest, arm, wrist, legs provide localization with specific purpose taking into account their proximity of an organ or a source of biosignal, and also its ergonomic possibility (user friendliness) to fix a sensor, and the associated instrumentation (batteries, amplifiers, signal processing, telecommunication, alarm, display). The research is oriented toward two complementary directions : improving the relevancy of each sensor and increasing the number of sensors for having a more global synthetic and robust information.

SMART COAT-WEARABLE MEDICAL ELECTRONICS DEVICE

GPS&GSM BASED SMART COAT-FIND LOCATION&SMS FOR ABNORMAL STATUS

 WIRELESS WEARABLE CLOTH(BODY AREA NETWORK
Aim:
The scope of this project is to develop a system which constantly monitors the health status of a person (even while walking on the roads) and if any abnormalities  is found, it is immediately transferred to the nearest hospital, seeking the attention of the doctor.
 Project Description:
Our project is a working model, which incorporates sensors to measure all these parameters like Body temperature, Respiratory Temp, ECG and Heart Beat rate, all enclosed into a coat.   An Embedded Micro controller scans data from all this sensors and transfer it to the hospital if there is an emergency situation. It also enables an alarm beep sound to indicate the patient.  Moreover this system is powered using a Battery, which enables us to use this system even when we are in mobile.
 Modules:
9 V Battery for Power Supply
          Sensors and Transducers
          Signal Conditioning Board
PIC Microcontroller Interface Board  ,Alarm and its Driver Circuits

MEDICAL ELECTRONICS PROJECT ABSTRACT-PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM WITH SMS(GSM MODEM)

PIC Based Complete Body Scanning System
Multi patient parameter

Aim:
This project is used to scan the complete parameters of a person in an ICU ward.

Project Description:

Our project is a working model which incorporates sensors to measure all these parameters like Body temperature, Respiratory Temp, Saline Status and ECG  and transfer it to the computer, so that the patient condition can be analyzed to by doctors in any part of the hospital wherever they are. Thus it reduces doctors work load and also gives more accurate results, wherever there is an abnormality felt by the patient, we have also incorporated saline monitoring system which gives an alarm when the saline bottle about to empty.

COMPLETE BODY SCANNING SYSTEM WITH WAP

PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM WITH ECG,HEART BEAT, BODY TEMPERATUREwww.maastechindia.com

More over K-Sheet Automation is automatically done, since all the parameters are completely monitered thro a computer, it can be stored on a database for periodic intervals with respect to the current date and time.
A new system called medicine reminder system is also incorporated in this project.  An alarm will be energized,  Whenever a particular patient should be given  medicines.  This can be done for multiple patients also by assigning the intervals for the patient to a database.
An Emergency patient calling switch is also included here.  Whenever the patients finds emergency he needs to press the button on his side, so that the particular patients room number and will be indicated to the doctors room.

Modules:
          Sensors and Transducers
          Signal Conditioning Board
          dsPIC Microcontroller Interface Board
          Power Supply
Relay, alarm and its Driver Circuits

Advantages:

Ø 8 independent analog channels of 12 bit resolution available. (For future Enhancements)
Ø dsPIC Controlled Hardware
Ø All the Parameters can be viewed on the Mobile phone
Ø Annunciation’s systems are included for all this analog inputs
Ø Heart Beat Rate of the Patient
Ø Saline status is displayed in the monitor.
Ø On-line graphics for selectable parameters.
Ø On-line recording of all process parameters in the interval selectable by the user, which is most useful for future analysis and failure detection.

latest biomedical project abstract-spirometer-pc based pulmonary function test

BIOMEDICAL PROJECTS-Digital Pulmonary Function Test – Spirometry

ABSTRACT:-

Pulmonary function test is helpful in diagnosis lung diseases. It helps the doctor to detect the range of respiratory diseases. This test can be helpful to cure respiratory diseases if detected early. The simplest test is spirometry, which measures how fast the lungs can breath in and out, and also the volume of air lung can exhaled in the first and second of test. A peak flow meter can determine how much a patient’s airways have narrowed.
Our aim is to make a microcontroller based spirometer which displays the output in form of signals.

Spirometry (meaning the measuring of breath) is the most common of the Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), measuring lung function, specifically the measurement of the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry is an important tool used for generating pneumotachograph to assessing conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, and COPD.

The basic FVC test varies slightly depending on the equipment used.
Generally, the patient is asked to take the deepest breath they can, and then exhale into the sensor as hard as possible, for as long as possible. It is sometimes directly followed by a rapid inhalation (inspiration), in particular when assessing possible upper airway obstruction. Sometimes, the test will be preceded by a period of quiet breathing in and out from the sensor (tidal volume), or the rapid breath in (forced inspiratory part) will come before the forced exhalation.

During the test, soft nose clips may be used to prevent air escaping through the nose. Filter mouthpieces may be used to prevent the spread of microorganisms, particularly for inspiratory maneuvers.
SENSOR:
We have used a Turbine Flow sensor to measure the Tidal Volume. If air is blown into the sensor, the fan inside the sensor rotates and a proximity sensor kept nearby will generate an series of pulse signals, which is then amplified and given as a pulse input to the PIC Microcontroller for Display.

For Eg: if the 7ml of gas goes to the rotor and rotor will give 1 pulse.so we have taken 1pulse=7ml.and as per the count we make program for microcontroller to count pulses.
