LATEST ECE PROJECTS ABSTRACT-FINGER PRINT BASED ELECTRONIC LOCK OPEN/CLOSING SYSTEM

Biometric Fingerprint identification with PIC based Access Control System

What is FingerPrint Recognition?
Finger print Recognition is the technology that verifies the identity if a person based on the fact that every one has unique finger prints.  It is one of the most heavily used and actively studied biometric technologies.

BIOMETRIC(FINGERPRINT SCANNER-CAR DOOR OPEN/CLOSING SYSTEMS)

PIC MICROCONTROLLER(PIC16F877)BASED ACCESS CONTROL FOR CAR/BUS/VECHICLE)

  Advantages
Since fingerprints are the composition of protruding sweat glands, everyone has unique fingerprints.
They do not change naturally.
Its reliability and stability is higher compared to the iris, voice, and face recognition method.
Fingerprint recognition equipment is relatively low-priced compared to other biometric system and R&D investments are very robust in this field.

  Disadvantages
Vulnerable to noise and distortion brought on by dirt and twists.
Some people may feel offended about placing their fingers on the same place where many other people have continuously touched.
Some people have damaged or eliminated fingerprints.

For companies where security is vital and access to certain areas must be controlled and monitored, there should be an  access control system that allow companies to manage and monitor all access points and locks, allowing for auditable security and quick responses to any security breaches.

When we consider about Security the distinct ways are Authentication, Authorization and Access Control.

Authentication is any process by which you verify that someone is who they claim they are. This can be of any method of demonstrating identity, such as a smart card, retina scan etc. Authentication is equivalent to showing your drivers license at the ticket counter at the airport.
Authorization is finding out if the person, once identified, is permitted to have the resource. This is usually determined by finding out if that person is a part of a particular group, if that person has paid admission, or has a particular level of security clearance. Authorization is equivalent to checking the guest list at an exclusive party, or checking for your ticket when you go to the opera.

Finally, access control is a much more general way of talking about controlling access to a resource. Access can be granted or denied based on the privillages granted to him. Access control is analogous to locking the gate at closing time, or only letting people onto the ride who are more than 48 inches tall - it's controlling entrance by some arbitrary condition which may or may not have anything to do with the attributes of the particular visitor.

Here, in our project we have used an Biometric Finger Print Sensor, Keypad and a PIC Micro controller (PIC16F877) for authentication of a person.  A computer that is connected to the micro controller unit determines the authorization and Access control rights.

All user access information is gathered by a central PC-based workstation where the administrators can retrieve and analyze the information. This also has a LCD Display that displays the login Date time and the name of the person and a Relay output for controlling the system.

ELECTRONICS INSTRUMENTATION PROJECTS ABSTRACT-SMART CLOTH(WEARABLE DEVICE FOR BODY AREA NETWORK)

Smart clothes and associated -wearable devices for biomedical ambulatory monitoring

Summary: Health smart clothes which are in contact with almost all the surface of the skin offer large possibilities for the location of sensors for noninvasive measurements. Head band, collar, tee-shirt, socks, shoes, belts for chest, arm, wrist, legs provide localization with specific purpose taking into account their proximity of an organ or a source of biosignal, and also its ergonomic possibility (user friendliness) to fix a sensor, and the associated instrumentation (batteries, amplifiers, signal processing, telecommunication, alarm, display). The research is oriented toward two complementary directions : improving the relevancy of each sensor and increasing the number of sensors for having a more global synthetic and robust information.

SMART COAT-WEARABLE MEDICAL ELECTRONICS DEVICE

GPS&GSM BASED SMART COAT-FIND LOCATION&SMS FOR ABNORMAL STATUS

 WIRELESS WEARABLE CLOTH(BODY AREA NETWORK
Aim:
The scope of this project is to develop a system which constantly monitors the health status of a person (even while walking on the roads) and if any abnormalities  is found, it is immediately transferred to the nearest hospital, seeking the attention of the doctor.
 Project Description:
Our project is a working model, which incorporates sensors to measure all these parameters like Body temperature, Respiratory Temp, ECG and Heart Beat rate, all enclosed into a coat.   An Embedded Micro controller scans data from all this sensors and transfer it to the hospital if there is an emergency situation. It also enables an alarm beep sound to indicate the patient.  Moreover this system is powered using a Battery, which enables us to use this system even when we are in mobile.
 Modules:
9 V Battery for Power Supply
          Sensors and Transducers
          Signal Conditioning Board
PIC Microcontroller Interface Board  ,Alarm and its Driver Circuits
